In this talk we will focus on architectural extensions which aim to make software more resilient against exploitation. We will focus on RISC-V and mainly the Shadow Stack and Landing Pads extension and
present a brief comparison with other architectures.

Dr. George Christou received his BSc, MSc and Ph.D degree in
Computer Science from the University of Crete in
2014 and 2017 respectively. He has been an undergraduate researcher in the Institute of
Computer Science of Foundation Of Research and Technology Hellas
(FORTH) in the Distributed Computing Laboratory from 2013 to 2014.
